From a teenager making electronic music in Nantes to a Grammy-nominated artist performing on some of America’s biggest stages, Madeon’s story is a powerful example of what can happen when talent, creativity, and opportunity cross borders. This October, that story comes to Denver.
French artist Hugo Leclercq, better known as Madeon, began producing electronic music at a young age in Nantes, inspired in part by the French electronic scene and artists such as Daft Punk.
His breakthrough came while he was still a teenager. In 2011, Madeon uploaded “Pop Culture,” a live mashup combining samples from 39 songs using a Launchpad controller. The performance spread online; within a week it had accumulated millions of views and opened opportunities to perform around the world. He was only 16.
From Nantes to the American music industry
Madeon began touring internationally and soon found significant opportunities in the United States. By age 20, he had performed at Coachella and Lollapalooza and had written and produced three tracks for Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP. His career expanded beyond the traditional role of DJ: he became a producer, songwriter, singer, visual artist, and live-show creator.
His second album, Good Faith, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 63rd Grammy Awards. He later moved from France to Los Angeles, seeking a new visual and creative environment for the world he was developing around the album.
Now, Madeon is coming to Denver
Madeon will bring Victory Live to Denver’s Mission Ballroom on Thursday, October 8, 2026, with doors at 8:00 PM and the show beginning at 9:00 PM. His Denver appearance follows the release of his 2026 album Victory, his first full-length album in seven years.
The performance follows the French-American Futures Expo & Job Fair, where the French-American Chamber of Commerce – Rocky Mountain and the American Association of Teachers of French will bring together students, professionals, employers, universities, and community partners at Tivoli Turnhalle on the Auraria Campus in Denver.
Madeon’s story represents why that gathering matters: talent, a passion, an international outlook, and an opportunity can create a future that crosses borders.
